If your battery ever gives out (horrors!)and you still need to know your run distance, you can also use &lt;a href="http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/" rel="nofollow"&gt;gmap pedometer&lt;/a&gt; to measure where you've been. It's fairly accurate, but doesn't take into account altitude.
