Being the parent of a situation like this, I'm on the otherside. When my daughter and the little one moved here from Edmonton, she moved in with us. It was supposed to be for 3 or 4 months and ended up being for a year & a half. While I enjoyed it, my hubby who didn't want kids found it sometimes frustrating having a little one underfoot. Funny she's the one he misses most and spend the most time with when she (the little one) comes for an overnight visit.

As for running in the dark, not my fav, but I'm getting used to it.:-)

Hello --

Just wanted to say that I sympathise. Before we moved up to Alaska, we spent three months with parents in a small house in Ohio. It was difficult sometimes, but certainly we were grateful for the help and I look back on it as a great time.

As far as light goes...I'm with you there as well. The sun comes up here around 9am and goes down around 6:30. Unfortunately, it only gets worse from here!
